In the following terms and conditions, “the Photographer” refers to Will Scott Film/Wedding Photography, and “the Client(s)” refers to the couple in the wedding booking. The terms outlined below represent the comprehensive agreement between the parties, and no alteration or modification shall be effective unless both parties agree in writing.
Entire Agreement: This agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the Clients and the Photographer. Any modifications to this agreement must be in writing and signed by both parties.
Services Provided: The Photographer shall capture the Client’s wedding day through photography services, adhering to a documentary and reportage style consistent with the Photographer’s brand and storytelling approach. The Photographer will work within the wedding package selected by the Clients during the booking.
Cooperation: The Clients and the Photographer agree to cooperate and communicate effectively to achieve the best results within the framework of this contract. It is recommended that the Photographer be provided with a helper, typically an usher or bridesmaid, who can identify key individuals for photographs. The Photographer may also require assistance in organizing family group shots.
The Clients should provide the Photographer with a list of specific formal group shots before the wedding, understanding that these shots take time and may impact the time allocated for candid coverage. For this reason, the Clients acknowledge the Photographer’s recommendation of no more than 8 group combinations.
Unless a list of formal group shots is provided to the Photographer in advance and time allocated in the wedding day itinerary, the Clients understand that no formal group shots will be taken as the Photographer specializes in documentary photography, capturing candid moments throughout the day.
The Schedule: The Photographer’s shooting schedule and working style are designed to produce beautiful wedding photos enjoyed by all. Both the Clients and the Photographer agree that punctuality and cheerful cooperation are essential to achieving outstanding photographic results. In cases where the wedding runs late, the Photographer cannot guarantee the full set of photos but will make every effort to compensate.
The Clients also agree to inform the Photographer in advance of key events at the wedding, such as confetti throwing, cake cutting, or speeches. When planning the wedding day timeline, it is advisable for the Clients to collaborate with the Photographer to allocate sufficient time and natural light for specific parts of the day. For full-day wedding packages, photography coverage concludes at 8:30 PM unless otherwise agreed upon during booking.
Should the schedule overrun by more than 30 minutes past the scheduled finish time, an additional charge of £100 may apply for every half-hour extension. The Photographer may not always be able to accommodate these extra hours due to travel requirements or subsequent bookings.
If the Photographer is required to stay for the evening reception, the Clients must ensure that a hot meal is provided for the Photographer(s) to be consumed while the wedding party eats, or they should understand that the Photographer(s) may be off-site for up to 60 minutes to source their meal.
Paparazzi Wedding Guests: In the spirit of cooperation, the Clients agree to prioritize the Photographer(s) over guests when capturing photos for the wedding services. The Photographer cannot be held responsible for a lack of wedding photos if guests taking their own photos interfere with the Photographer’s work. The Photographer is also not responsible for any interference by guests or other vendors, including videographers, at the wedding. The Photographer will make every effort to obtain but cannot guarantee the delivery of specific images requested by the Clients due to various factors beyond the Photographer’s control.
The Clients understand that not every photograph they remember being taken may be delivered for various reasons, such as technical imperfections or the quality of the photograph. The Photographer will never withhold any images from the Clients that are of good quality.
Please note that not all guests may be comfortable having their photos taken. In such cases, the Photographer will use their discretion but cannot be held responsible for a lack of photos of these guests.
House Rules: The Photographer may be subject to rules imposed by officiants, priests, registrars, ministers, or venue management regarding what can and cannot be done. For example, religious ceremonies often require the Photographer to shoot from a specific location that does not disrupt the sanctity of the vows.
In such cases, the Clients agree to accept the technical limitations that may be imposed. Additionally, the Photographer is not allowed to photograph the official signing of the marriage license for data protection reasons, and a mock-up signing is usually recreated by the registrar. The Clients should familiarize themselves with the venue’s rules before the wedding date and negotiate with the relevant personnel, if necessary.
Artistic License: The Photographer is granted creative and artistic license for the photographs, including their selection, editing, and post-processing. The Photographer’s judgment on photographic style is considered correct. While the Photographer aims to achieve a pleasing color balance and enhance images as they see fit, an exact color match is not guaranteed due to factors like fabric types.
The Clients acknowledge the Photographer’s specific editing style based on her portfolio and choose the Photographer, in part, for that style. The Clients understand that their wedding gallery will be edited in the Photographer’s signature style, and the Photographer cannot alter her style upon request.
Any editing style requests made by the Clients before the wedding
